Last year, when Gus was a puppy, we made amazing progress with crate training and house manners. At the time, his Dad had to lay his clothes in the office the night before, and sneak out of his room in the morning to get dressed. If Dad made any noise, Gus would start barking and […]

Number 1 dude Andy, wants to give you a few Halloween tips to keep your dog safe! – Exercise your dog earlier in the day. Sweet Lyla is an 18 weeks old Golden Retriever. She started training with us last month. In our follow up session this week, we cleaned up her walking skills with her Mom and focused on resolving some of the mouthiness she’s exhibiting. Additionally, within the last few days, she began disagreeing with her crate training. […]

Our new puppy Po had a puppy check up today. We’ve had a wonderful relationship with Dr. Julie Anderson for more than 6 years, and she recently opened a new clinic. Pet Village of Brentwood also offers Daycare and Boarding. There are some exciting training opportunities that will be happening soon. Stay tuned!

Some families actually intend to get 2 puppies, from the same litter. We have several families currently in the program that have pups […]

Cultivating Calmness

Mazzy is my personal chocolate lab, and she will be 2 years old this weekend. She is incredibly obedient and super driven. She has high energy, and we work her daily to keep her fulfilled emotionally and physically. I can take Mazzy anywhere, and I can engage her in a game of tug, fetch, search, […]

Clean your dogs food/water bowls regularly…

Most families do not think about washing their pets food dishes regularly. We place food and water bowls through the dishwasher daily. Even though some dogs will eat the most disgusting things on the planet…(poop, trash or drink from the toilet, etc), we may not realize there can be a lot of bacteria introduced to […]
